The job
Everything in this house was taken back and redone in one programme: windows and doors, ceilings, floors, electrics, kitchen and roof. The finish is deliberately raw. The living room has a skim-coat feature wall with a floating TV console, and the kitchen island, sink counter and worktop are cast in concrete and left in cement finish rather than clad in stone or laminate.
At the back, the wall was opened up with a three-panel sliding aluminium door onto a timber deck, with a floating concrete sink against the outside wall for the garden. The roof was redone with new gutters.
